Golf

The annual EIPS golf tournament -TBD. Busing will be provided. (If you cannot make this date, you cannot be on the team).  The team will be playing 9 holes at Fort in View golf course.

• You need to bring your own clubs and balls
• You should be relatively familiar with golf
• We will need a parent volunteer to walk with each group to help with the scorecard and track that drives are used from each player throughout the round.

Tryouts TBD, with a makeup date will be determined at a later date.

• Students should bring a pitching wedge or 9-iron to the tryout
  • We will be hitting plastic practice balls
• We will be looking at swing and ball contact
• Cuts and further tryouts may take place

Team Information

• The team is made up of a maximum of 8 boys and 8 girls:
  • 2 boys and 2 girls singles players (typically the most regular golfers)
    • These players track every shot on their scorecard
  • 1 boys and 1 girls scramble team made up of 4 players each
    •  Best ball scramble
  • 1 mixed scramble of 2 boys and 2 girls
    • Best ball scramble
• We may have practices at Broadmoor Golf Course's range, but our teachers may be too busy with spring overnight trips, so most practicing should be done on your own.
